The American Association of Veterinary Medical Colleges has bestowed its 2022 Excellence of Research Award upon veterinarian and immunologist Barry T. Rouse with the UT College of Veterinary Medicine. Rouse holds the titles of Lindsay Young Distinguished Professor and Institute Professor in the College’s Department of Biomedical and Diagnostic Services. The national award he received recognizes an individual who, over the course of their career, has demonstrated excellence in original research, leadership in the scientific community, and mentoring of trainees and colleagues in any discipline of veterinary medicine.
