About the UT Gardens, Knoxville

A part of the UT Institute of Agriculture, the UT Gardens, Knoxville, welcomes thousands of visitors each year so that their lives may be enriched with beauty, better health, a closer connection with nature, and a better understanding of plants.

This special place, which has grown from a few trial beds to an impressive ten-acre site, combines the beauty and openness of a public garden with a hands-on university and community laboratory for conserving, restoring, and celebrating the environment. It is part of the State Botanical Garden of Tennessee, along with two additional sites in Jackson and Crossville.
