Willie Hart Endowed Scholarship

The Willie Hart Endowed Scholarship honors the service and leadership of William Hart, a mentor, advocate, and friend to thousands of students over his nearly four decades as a biosystems engineering faculty member. The scholarship is awarded to a biosystems engineering undergraduate student demonstrating moral character, professional promise, and a willingness to serve others.

Hart embodied the University of Tennessee’s mission of serving “through education, discovery, and outreach” with his purposeful, hands-on instruction methods and his commitment to engage students in professional development and service. He imparted pride for the Herbert College of Agriculture, for Tennessee, and for agriculture to all his students.
